Zainab’s heritage is in producing essential oils in the Middle East and Africa and has spent over a decade supporting the family business.
Zainab has developed an understanding of how to bridge gaps between suppliers and buyers globally and ventured out to start Aay’han to increase the accessibility of the world’s finest oils.
Zainab has a sense of responsibility to develop sustainable cultivation, while empowering local communities with skills, dignified work conditions and a living wage.
Zainab holds a Masters in Optometry from City University, London and applies her science background to develop the essential oils and maximise their benefits to end users.

Sabil shares Zainab’s vision to bring the world’s finest essential oils to a wide audience, and provide sustainable, ethical and organic options.
Sabil is from Cambridge, England, where he studied Economics at Cambridge University.
Prior to meeting Zainab, Sabil worked in management consulting with Deloitte, and as a senior advisor to Environment and Home Affairs Ministers in the Central UK Government.
Sabil utilises his background to focus Aay’han’s business strategy and operations.
